Confessions of a Former Psychic Network Reader

I was recruited back in 1990 by The Psychic Friends Network. They knew of me and wanted me to be one of their top psychics. Even though they paid a small salary, especially compared to what I earned on my own, I agreed to be a part of the network. Believe it or not, they were pretty legit in the early days. Until they started hiring people who weren’t even psychic! Then, the company became comprised, which I predicted, and all hell broke loose behind closed doors. I actually worked there for five full years and met some wonderful people, clients and staff. So, no regrets.

Unfortunately for people who wanted to avail themselves of a good psychic or tarot reader, many innocent clients were scammed. To be fair, there were some who were satisfied with their readings because that is the nature of things.

Years later, at the behest of a friend, I interviewed for California Psychics against my better judgment. Their normal procedure back then was for a prospective psychic to do 2-3 test readings for members of their staff. Well, they had six of them interview me! The first three were blown away, the last three just wanted a freebie! Oddly, I wasn’t hired which was ludicrous to everyone who knew.

I didn’t persuit it because I did not want to be associated with them in the first place, although I was curious as to why they didn’t jump at the chance to hire me. Months later I received a call from one of the six. She said she felt I should know that my predictions freaked the others out, and that they were afraid of me seeing too much. They preferred to shortchange their customers rather than hire myself-who they were quoted as referring to as “over qualified”. I won’t elaborate any further other than to say, don’t ask if you don’t want to know.
